For more than 40 years he owned and operated a business in the Flathead Valley while remaining active in his church and local organizations, including the Glacier Lions Club, Chamber of Commerce, and the Bigfork Emergency Resource Team. POLICY PRINCIPLES

Practical solutions grounded in Montana values, strong communities, and responsible leadership.

  • Mark supports lowering the tax burdens that Montanan’s are forced to pay to live here. Many seniors express their dismay that their children’s inheritance has been stolen from them by the inflated property taxes that were passed last session, against the will of the true conservatives.

  • Mark is committed to protecting the lives of unborn children. Quoting Mother Theresa “If we accept that a mother can kill even her own child, how can we tell other people not to kill each other? . . . Any country that accepts abortion is not teaching its people to love, but to use any violence to get what they want.”

Cal Thomas said: “Why should people or nations regard human life as noble or dignified if abortion flourishes? Why agonize about indiscriminate death in Bosnia when babies are being killed far more efficiently and out of the sight of television cameras?”

  • Mark supports insurance premium relief. Insurance is such an important part of everyday living that getting the proper and affordable coverage is essential. If we take measures to reduce potential fire risk from our property and show that we are driving safely, Mark believes we should be rewarded with lower insurance costs.

  • Mark is committed to protecting Montana’s way of life. We all chose to live in this beautiful state with its majestic mountains, parks, animals, rivers and streams. Mark will protect our second amendment rights, help limit unnecessary regulations and help maintain our constitutional rights.

  • As the chairman of the Business and Labor Committee, Mark is committed to helping small businesses, which represent over 99% of businesses in the state of Montana. As a small business owner himself, he can relate to the many challenges small business owners face.
